Bachelor Thesis — Digital Social Inclusion Among Rural Older Adults
2022 – 2023 · Chengdu, China
- Designed and independently completed an empirical mixed-methods study of digital inclusion among older residents in Shahe Village, Pidu District, Chengdu.
- Developed and piloted a structured questionnaire, distributed 125 surveys, recovered 121 and prepared 117 valid responses, supplemented by interviews and field observations.
- Tested five scales for reliability and validity in SPSS, then used factor analysis to refine a 47-item measure to 32 indicators across four factors.
- Applied descriptive statistics, weighted factor scores and Pearson correlation analysis to assess access, use and knowledge gaps.
- Combined quantitative findings with coded interview evidence to create four user-persona groups and structured recommendations.
